Is the installation of LIVOLO switches the same as for mechanical switches?
The installation of the touch switches is no different from that of the mechanical switches. You should only pay attention to the fact that the installation is carried out with screws in a round mounting box with a minimum depth of 50 mm.
Livolo switches, C7 series are installed in a standard 65 box, only a phase wire is required for connection, through which the lighting will be controlled, no neutral wire is required. We sell only switches that are fully compliant with Ukrainian standards.
What is the installation distance for LIVOLO switches?
The distance between the LIVOLO switches is a standard 71 mm, so using this distance is a basic requirement when installing socket outlets.
Can I install LIVOLO switches and sockets vertically?
Yes!!! LIVOLO can also be installed vertically. Since the mechanism can only be installed in a glass pane or frame in one way, the switches or sockets must be turned 90 degrees to the right or left for vertical installation. In the case of sockets, only the metal frame must be rotated, the socket must be removed from the metal frame and, after rotating the metal frame, reinserted into the metal frame so that the socket holes are horizontal.
Can the switch be fixed with mounting feet?
Yes!!! The LIVOLO fittings can also be fixed with fixing nails if the mounting box does not have a screw hole.
Is there a crossover switch in LIVOLO?
The LIVOLO family of luminaires does not have a crossover switch, but there is no need for one, as conventional alternative switches also have a crossover function. The lamp can be switched from 3-5 locations.

Need a neutral wire for switches?
99% of LIVOLO touch switches do not require a neutral wire, but there are switches that do require a neutral wire to operate. Such as, for example, a blind switch or buttons used for smart homes. If you have any questions about the connection, please contact us using one of our contact details.
Can I use LIVOLO switches for LED light sources?
Yes! LED light sources can also be switched on with the LIVOLO touch switches. The light source must have a power of 5 W per 1000 W.
The electrical wiring in my apartment is already completed, can I install LIVOLO switches?

Can the LIVOLO touch switch be connected under voltage?
For safety reasons, all live work is prohibited. Leaving aside the prohibition, connecting the switch to live power can damage its electronic components.
Is it possible to connect LIVOLO touch proximity switches with key switches?
Livolo pass-through touch switches (switches) only work in pairs with each other. They are not designed to work with key switches. Once connected, the touch switches must be programmed to work together.
Can I use a remote control from another brand to control the LIVOLO Switch?
Thanks to signal coding, Livolo switches only work with the VL-RMT-02, VL-RMT-03, VL-RMT-04 remote controls or the Broadlink universal remote control.
How far can I control the lights with the LIVOLO remote control?
The circuit breakers communicate with the remote control via a radio signal at a frequency of 433 megahertz, so the distance in the line of sight is at least 20-30 meters. Control is possible through a wall or partition, but in this situation it is better to check this possibility before installing the switch.
Can LIVOLO dimmers adjust the brightness of LED lamps and LED strips?
You can use our dimmers with LED lamps, provided that the LED lamps support this function. You can read this information in the instructions or description of the LED lamps. It is also possible to dim LED strips, but make sure that your transformer supports TRIAC dimming.
The switch does not work properly after installation, why?
Often, incorrect operation of the circuit breaker is due to incorrect installation or low load. The most common causes:
- Connecting the switch to the voltage before installing the glass panel. To solve this problem, disconnect the circuit breaker from the mains on the internal switchboard for 30 seconds and turn on the power. The problem should be corrected.
- The switch controls a load of less than 5 W. This problem is solved by installing an LED adapter according to the diagram.
What is the power rating of touch switches?
The minimum load of one circuit of the Livolo switch is 5 watts. With a load of less than 5 W, unstable operation of the switch, flickering of the light source, lack of switching on, and spontaneous shutdown are possible.
The rated load of the switch is 5-1000 watts. Loads of less than 5 watts require an additional adapter. Dimmable touch switches operate in the range of 25-500 watts.
Which switches are illuminated?
All touch switches are equipped with a backlight for the sensor area. Livolo key switches do not have backlighting.
What is the front panel material of LIVOLO touch light switches?
The front surface of touch switches is always made of glass, the surface of sockets and key switches is combined, glass frame and plastic mechanism.
What is the shelf life of LIVOLO touch switches?
The manufacturer claims 100,000 on-off operations, but it is very difficult to verify this in practice because it is a very large figure. But in our practice, the switches on the demonstration stand, which are used very often, continue to function normally for 3.5 years.
Can I control one light from three different locations?
Yes. You can control the lighting from different locations. Livolo pass-through switches are used for this purpose. The principle of connecting the derivative touch switches is similar to conventional key pass-through switches, the only difference is that the lighting is controlled via a COM wire, which connects the pass-through switches in any number. Please see the wiring diagram of the pass-through switches.
Why is there no LIVOLO logo on the glass panel?
This decision was made by Livolo for products sold in Europe and Ukraine. The reason is that in some European countries, customers had difficulty placing the glass panel in the right direction, the logo was restricting them. For example, a two-post glass frame you need to place vertically. A panel without a logo allows you to place switches and sockets in any direction. The logo is applied to the back of the glass panel.
Why is the light flashing?
This problem occurs when the load in the circuit is less than 5 watts. Please note that the minimum power for a dimmer is 25 watts. This problem is solved by installing an LED adapter.
Can I use LIVOLO switches outdoors?
Livolo switches are designed for indoor use. For outdoor use, we recommend using outdoor switches. The operating temperature of Livolo switches is -30 ~ 70 Celsius; less than 95% relative humidity.
