Climate in your hands: Temperature and humidity control

A smart digital thermometer-hygrometer allows you to monitor the temperature and humidity in real-time within your space. It belongs to the Livolo Smart range of solutions, operating using Zigbee technology.

The sensor enables integration with the climate control system and other electrical appliances through the Livolo ZigBee smart socket.

Using the LIVOLO HOME app on your phone or through voice commands via assistants such as Google Home or Amazon Alexa, you will be able to set up various automated scenarios based on the measured temperature and humidity values within the room.

To utilize all the features of the smart temperature and humidity sensor, you will need the LIVOLO HOME app and a ZigBee gateway. The gateway connects different smart devices, analyzes information, and sends commands, making your entire smart home more convenient and automated.

Examples of automated scenarios

1. Optimal Climate: Automatic Activation of Air Humidifier

• Connect the humidifier to the Livolo ZigBee smart socket.
• When the hygrometer detects humidity in the air below 65%, it sends a signal to the ZigBee gateway.
• The gateway analyzes the information and sends a command to activate the Livolo ZigBee smart socket.
• The humidifier is activated and maintains a comfortable level of humidity in the room.
• Once the humidity returns to a normal level, the gateway turns off the socket.

2. Cold Protection: Automatic Heater Activation

• Connect the electric heater to the Livolo ZigBee smart socket.
• If the room temperature drops below 18 degrees, the temperature sensor sends a signal to the ZigBee gateway.
• The gateway analyzes the information and sends a command to activate the Livolo ZigBee smart socket.
• The heater turns on, providing a comfortable room temperature.

3. Summer Comfort: Automatic Curtain Closure with Temperature Increase

• During the summer period, if the temperature rises to 25 degrees, the temperature sensor sends a signal to the ZigBee gateway.
• The system signals the curtain switch or electric curtain rail to close the curtains, preventing excessive heat buildup inside.
• When the temperature decreases, the system opens the curtains, providing natural lighting.
• These examples showcase how a smart system can respond to environmental changes to ensure optimal comfort and efficiency in various situations.

Installation

The sensor is installed using a round mounting box (backbox) with a screw fixing center distance of 60 mm. The installation process is very simple and straightforward, causing no issues.
