Romstal Ecoheat Thermoelectric Actuator for Underfloor Heating Manifolds, NC, M30×1.5, 230 V

A comfortable temperature in every room without manually adjusting the manifold. The Romstal Ecoheat controls the flow of heating water through an individual underfloor heating circuit in response to a thermostat signal. When the room needs heating, the actuator opens the valve. Once the set temperature is reached, the thermostat switches off the actuator’s power supply, and the valve gradually closes.

For individual room temperature control, the actuator works with a suitable room thermostat or wiring centre. This helps maintain the desired temperature and prevent unnecessary heating.

Normally Closed: The Circuit Is Closed When Power Is Off

The NC (Normally Closed) design means that, during normal operation, the valve is closed when no power is supplied. When 230 V is applied, the actuator gradually opens the valve, allowing heating water to circulate. After the power is switched off, the valve closes as the thermal element cools down.

Important: the actuator operates gradually, so opening and closing are not instantaneous. A raised indicator on the housing provides a visual indication of the open position.

Easy Installation on the Manifold

The M30×1.5 threaded connection is designed for installation on compatible underfloor heating manifold valves. Tighten the retaining nut by hand, without pliers or excessive force. The 900 mm cable allows the actuator to be connected to the control system.

Before purchasing, check that the actuator is compatible with the valve’s thread, mounting dimensions and operating stroke.

First Open — Makes Installation Easier

Before installation, the actuator is held in the open position by a special First Open retaining clip. Remove the clip after securing the actuator to the valve. The actuator then operates in its standard, normally closed mode.

Connection: the actuator requires a switched 230 V supply. Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified professional with the power disconnected. The thermostat and manifold are selected separately to suit the system configuration.
