LIVOLO smart socket with remote control, 16 A, grounding, smartphone control, grey matte glass frame

🔹In the wall – sockets are installed in special boxes embedded in the wall.

🔹In furniture – sockets can be built into countertops, cabinets, or other furniture items.

🔹In the floor – sockets are installed in special floor boxes.

This is an important element of electrical safety that protects against electric shock. It performs several key functions:

✅ Human safety – in case of insulation damage or a short circuit, the electric current does not reach the device's casing but is safely redirected to the ground.

✅ Equipment protection – grounding prevents static discharge and overvoltage, which could damage sensitive electronic devices.

They define the level of protection for electrical devices against dust and moisture penetration, which is important for their safety and longevity.

🔹IP20 is suitable for use in dry areas, such as rooms in a house or apartment, kitchen, hallway, or bedroom.

🔹IP40 is suitable for areas with low levels of dust but no exposure to moisture.

🔹IP44 is the perfect choice for bathrooms or other areas with high humidity, where accidental water splashes may occur.

These protection ratings ensure the reliability and safety of devices in environments where there may be some level of contamination or moisture.

Designed to enhance safety, especially in areas where children are present. They prevent accidental insertion of foreign objects into the socket, reducing the risk of electric shock.

Main functions of protective shutters:

🔹 Child safety – prevent small objects from being inserted into the socket.

🔹 Protection from dust and dirt – prevent dust accumulation inside the socket, which could affect its performance.

🔹 Prevention of short circuits – reduce the risk of accidental contact shorting due to careless use.

This is the number of individual modules (sockets) for connecting electrical appliances in a single frame.

🔹 1 post – is one socket
🔹 2 posts – double socket (double frame).
🔹 3 or more posts – socket block for installing several devices simultaneously. Maximum 5 posts.

The number of posts determines how many mounting boxes are used for installing individual modules.

Wireless communication technologies used to control devices in smart home systems:

EC is a modern wireless communication protocol between smart devices.

✅ Advantages:

• Easy connection, similar to regular switches. Only the phase is required for connection.
• The technology allows for easy replacement of old switches, even after renovation is complete.
• Does not require neutral (zero wire).

❌ Disadvantage:

• A gateway (or hub, also known as a gateway, hub) is needed for operation — this is a device that connects smart devices into a single system. The gateway has a range of 30-40 meters and supports the simultaneous operation of up to 112 smart devices.

Wi-Fi is a universal wireless communication standard.

✅ Advantages:

• Works directly through Wi-Fi, without the need for a gateway.

❌ Disadvantage:

• Requires a neutral wire (zero), which is not always available in the junction box.

ZigBee is a wireless communication protocol from 2004.

✅ Advantages:

• Easy connection, similar to regular switches. Only the phase is required for connection.
• The technology allows for easy replacement of old switches, even after renovation is complete.
• Does not require neutral (zero wire).

❌ Disadvantage:

• A gateway is required for the device to work. The gateway range is 10-15 meters. The coverage radius may depend on obstacles in the room, such as walls, furniture, and other electrical appliances.

This is the ability to conveniently control smart devices through a mobile app.

🔹 LIVOLO HOME – with this app, you can remotely control LIVOLO devices from your phone or tablet, create automation scenarios.
🔹 Google Home and Amazon Alexa – allow you to combine applications from different manufacturers into one.

This enables you to adjust lighting, temperature, and other functions of your home without the need for physical contact with the devices.

🪙 Aluminum Housing
The aluminum housing makes the furniture socket durable and long-lasting. It is ideal for installation both on countertops and floors, as it can withstand daily use and load.

🛡️ Stainless Steel Housing
The stainless steel housing provides maximum strength and resistance to mechanical damage. This option is perfect for use in high-load conditions or in commercial spaces.
