The LIVOLO EC single-channel smart dimmer lets you adjust your lighting to suit your needs: increase the brightness for reading, create soft lighting for relaxation, or dim the lights before bedtime. All from your smartphone or a compatible wall switch.
The compact module fits inside the wall box behind your switch and adds smart features to your lighting. It stays out of sight, so your interior design remains just as you chose it, while controlling your lights becomes more convenient every day.
Lighting for every moment
The same room serves different purposes throughout the day. With a dimmer, you can easily adapt the lighting to each one:

Convenient control for the whole family
The module supports control through the LIVOLO HOME app and a connected mechanical switch. The available wall control functions depend on the switch type:

Momentary push-button switch: a short press turns the light on or off; pressing and holding adjusts the brightness.

Standard latching rocker switch: turns the light on and off; brightness is adjusted through the app.
The manual also provides a wiring option for two-way mechanical switches to turn the lighting on and off from two locations.
Smartphone control and automation
With LIVOLO HOME, you can turn the lighting on and off, adjust the brightness, and set up automations. For example, schedule the lights to switch off at a specific time — one less everyday task to remember.
A compatible LIVOLO EC gateway is required for app control. The module uses the EC protocol and connects to the system through the gateway.
Settings that suit your routine
In the app, you can set the maximum brightness and choose how the lighting behaves when power is restored:

restore the state it was in before the power outage;

leave the light off;

turn the light on.
This is particularly useful in the bedroom: choose to leave the light off when power is restored so it does not come on in the middle of the night.
Getting started
The module is installed inside the wall box and connected to the lighting and switch according to the manufacturer’s wiring diagram. Installation must be carried out with the power switched off.
To control the module from your smartphone, first set up the EC gateway, then open LIVOLO HOME, tap “+” on the devices page, and select the appropriate control module. Put the dimmer into pairing mode by holding its button for 5 seconds, then complete the setup in the app. Next, select the connected switch type and your preferred settings.
What to consider before buying
The dimmer is designed for dimmable lighting. The lamp or its driver must support dimming. The minimum load is 5 W, and the maximum load is 2 A.
The module supports operation without a neutral connection. If the lamp flickers, glows faintly when switched off, or flickers at maximum brightness, the manufacturer recommends connecting the neutral wire N.
