Switches with dry contacts are used when the Livolo switch should not directly control the light source, but instead send a signal to a module that controls the light source (e.g. Fibaro modules, LOXONE, other Z-Wave devices, etc.).
This type of switch is primarily intended for use with intelligent Smart Home systems that require a so-called "dry contact relay". A dry contact is a contact that does not have a direct connection to the power source and ground. This means that there is no voltage on the dry contact terminals if the terminals are not connected to other equipment.
A touch switch without fixation with a dry contact requires a 12-24 volt DC power supply. The switch operates in mode #2, where the contact is closed only when touched to the sensor. This type of switch can be used to switch 12V, 24V, or 115V, 230V.
