What is the difference between Livolo walk-through switches and ordinary ones?

To understand the difference between a walk-through switch and a standard one, in which the electrical circuit is interrupted in the usual way, you need to look at the switch from the back.

A walk-through switch has three contacts (as opposed to the usual two contacts) and a mechanism to switch between them. Therefore, the walk-through switch has some advantages, the main of which is the ability to control lighting lamps from various places in an apartment or office. Therefore, if you decide buy a walk-through switch - it can be connected to a load line from several lighting fixtures and controlled, for example, from different sides of a long corridor. The Livolo two-line walk-through switch is internally equipped with four contacts and must be synchronized with the walk-through switch located on the opposite side.

You can’t buy a walk-through switch based only on its appearance - outwardly, the switch may look like a normal one, and only after looking closely, you can see the sign – arrow down and up. The Livolo touch switches have the letter S in the product code.
