Installation location

A single curtain rod will take up less space than a combination of a motorized curtain rod and a rod for sheer curtains, or two motorized curtain rods, which will require more space.

1. Width for a motorized curtain rod:

  • Single curtain rod: 10-11 cm (corner: 12-13 cm)
  • Motorized + sheer curtain (manual): 15-20 cm (corner: 17-23 cm)
  • Two motorized curtain rods: 18-22 cm (corner: 21-25 cm)

2. A depth from 5 to 10 cm will provide enough space for the installation of the chosen curtain rods, ensuring efficient functionality and ease of use.

3. When planning the niche, it is necessary to consider the dimensions of the windowsill, heating radiators, and the dimensions of the window that opens for ventilation (curtains/sheer curtains should not obstruct access to the windowsill and radiators). Additionally, the dimensions of the LED strip (16 mm) should be taken into account if it is part of the plans. If the installation will be done on the wall, it is advisable to additionally provide brackets of the required size and consider the distance from the wall.

4. If the niche's ceiling is made of drywall, it is recommended to plan for studs (mounting profile) at intervals of 40-50 cm.

To connect the power supply and control the motorized curtain rail, the following steps are necessary

1. Lead the power and motor control cable from the edge of the recess in such a way that it does not interfere with the installation of the electric curtain rail profile.

2. Use a power cable type that depends on the power and electricity consumption of the curtain rail. For different options, you can use cables such as 2x0.75, 2x1, 2x1.5, or 3x0.75, 3x1, 3x1.5 if planning phase control.

3. Ensure that the length of the cable from the ceiling to the curtain rail is at least 30 cm to provide sufficient length for comfortable connection.

4. For the control cable, use FTP, UTP 2x2, or 4x2 depending on the management needs. The length of the control cable from the motor to the button should be at least 50 cm.

By implementing these measures, you will ensure the correct and safe connection of the motorized curtain rail while adhering to the necessary technical parameters and ensuring operational safety.

Fixing the electric cornice to the wall

The cornice is attached to the brackets.

When two cornices for curtains and tulle are installed, the length of the bracket from the wall can reach up to 20 mm.
